Global Alerts Corp. partners with USAbit Global to deploy Mass Public Warning system utilizing Cell Broadcast Technology for Brazil

The deployment of Universal Public Safety Emergency Notifications (UPSEN) technology in Brazil, requires a partnership with the National Telecommunications regulator, ANATEL, the licensed mobile networks and Global Alerts Corp. This transformative public safety initiative aligns with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) “Emergency Warnings For All” campaign, which seeks to ensure life-saving alerts reach vulnerable populations worldwide.
UPSEN, the second generation of cell broadcasting and emergency warning technologies, is the only early warning system enabling a global messaging solution by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to automate its warnings. By utilizing AI, UPSEN reduces training costs, eliminates human error, and enhances real-time emergency communication through the delivery of accurate, timely, and localized cell broadcasts to the public via their mobile phones, ensuring vital information reaches citizens during times of crisis. The UPSEN system processes thousands of data feeds from global entities such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Red Cross, Interpol, and many others, which are analyzed by Global Alerts’ AI software to ensure national sovereignty and messaging protocols are constantly maintained while delivering alerts and post event messaging.
As of 2024, just slightly more than 20 countries worldwide employ first-generation emergency warning systems utilizing CB, meaning that 80% of the global population still lacks access to vital, life-saving alerts.
The collaboration between Global Alerts Corp., USAbit and the Brazilian government represents a significant step forward in improving emergency preparedness and safety in one of south America’s largest nations. “We are proud to bring this critical technology to Brazil as part of our broader mission to enhance global disaster preparedness,” said Dan Pacholik, CEO of Global Alerts Corp. “UPSEN will enable the government to communicate quickly and accurately with its citizens, ensuring they have necessary information to protect themselves during emergencies.”
Arthur Doria, CCO/ President of USAbit Global stated, “We are excited and proud to be the first representative in South America to partner with Global Alerts and the anticipated launch of the UPSEN solution, and hope we will inspire others to follow suit quickly to meet the UN’s directive for every country to have emergency alerts by 2027.”
The introduction of UPSEN in Brazil represents a major milestone in Global Alerts’ strategy to expand its impact across the globe, bringing emergency alert systems to communities that need them most.
